The Story

One day the founder of Filip Technologies, Sten Kirkbak, lost track of his son at the mall. While he later was able to find him in the parking lot, the traumatic experience led Sten to start to look for a device that would allow him to locate his son if such an event were to happen again. Not finding anything that would work for a young child (his son was 4 years old at the time), Kirkbak came up with the concept of a children's watch that would allow a child to communicate with a parent as well as one that would feature GPS geotracking capabilities to locate them.   A few years later, Filip Technologies released the MyFilip, the first child-specific smartwatch at the end of 2013
